Dr. Edmond Jonathan Gandham joined the faculty of the Department in 2014 after completing his Neurosurgery training from the Christian Medical College, Vellore. With over a decade of experience in high end Neurosurgery, he continues to strive for excellence in patient care with holistic approach.

His special interests includes endoscopic pituitary surgery, skull base surgery (Vestibular Schwannomas, Craniopharyngioma, Meningioma). Complex vascular surgeries which includes excision of AVM, aneurysm clipping, STA-MCA bypass for Moya Moya disease. He is specialised in Unilateral Biportal Endoscopy Surgery for lumbar degenerative disease, Lumbar fusion, UBE TLIF and Complex Spine instrumentation (Minimal invasive TLIF, OLIF, ALIF, Deformity correction).

Dr. Tony joined the Faculty of the Department in 2019 soon after completing his M.Ch. Neurosurgery (6 year course) from the Christian Medical College, Vellore. Dr. Tony Varghese Panicker is a neurosurgeon with more than a decade of experience in diagnosing and executing advanced surgical interventions for cerebral and spinal problems. Proficient in minimally invasive procedures, intricate tumour excisions, stereotactic neurosurgery, and neurotrauma management. Dedicated to providing patient-focused care and enhancing neurological results by precise surgical techniques and cooperative treatment strategies. Enthusiastic in contributing neurosurgery innovation skills to Christian Medical College and Hospital, Vellore.
He has played a crucial role in the implantation of Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) electrodes for individuals with Parkinson’s disease. His keen interest is in functional neurosurgery and minimal invasive spine surgery. His responsibilities encompass mentoring MCh Neurosurgery postgraduates and overseeing clinical duties in General Neurosurgery, mostly involving clinical, theoretical, and operational training.Renowned for his accessibility, mentoring disposition, and comprehensive approach to neurosurgery care, Dr. Tony Varghese Panicker is a vital member of our team.

Dr. SRH Peeran joined the faculty of the department in 2022 after completing his Neurosurgery training at Christian Medical College Vellore. He is a compassionate neurosurgeon with over ten years of experience in diagnosing and treating complex neurological disorders. Have a good clinical exposure in performing surgical procedures on the brain and spine with particular focus on spine surgery, neurooncology and vascular neurosurgery. Adept at providing comprehensive patient care, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and utilizing advanced technology to ensure optimal outcomes. His special interests are Complex spine surgery, Cerebrovascular, Neurooncology and skull base
